About the event

Intent: To provide an inclusive opportunity for pupils with SEND.

Venue: Ball Hall (Oldham Sport for all Centre)

Time: 10.00- 11.30 (arrival 9.45am)

Brief: This is an inclusive target games similar to indoor bowls, accessible to all pupils.

Teams should have experience of Boccia before they arrive but this isn’t essential and we will go through the basic rules at the beginning of the event.

3 vs 3 game where players must aim to get their coloured ball closest to the jack ball.

The team with the furthest away ball will always roll next.

Once all balls have been propelled towards the jack, the team with the closest ball wins that round/ end. The score for that round would depend on how many ball are closers than their opponents ball.

Each round/end starts by alternate players starting by propelling the jack.

The winning team of this event will be offered a place at Panathalon’s Greater Manchester event, details sent out closer to the time.

Teams: Teams of 3 with a squad of up to 5 players (can be less)

• Please ensure a member of staff from your school brings a first aid kit with them to this event.
• Try to help keep our competitions green by only using refillable water bottles.
• Please book one ticket per team. Schools may bring more than one team.
