About the event

Intent:
This event is an opportunity for pupils to represent their school in a competitive environment.

Venue: Oasis Academy Oldham

Time: 3:30-5pm (Arrival 3:15pm)

Brief: This is a competitive event, using the NBA new Basketball format 3v3. The teams will play in two groups that will then seed them for the second round, effectively making the second round the round where teams are playing against teams of their own ability.

First possession is decided by a jump ball.

Either team may substitute a player whenever the ball is out of play.

At a change of possession e.g. foul, basket, ball out of play, play should restart from the nearest side/end line.

In the event of a foul the opposing team will receive the ball on the nearest side/end line. If the player is fouled in the act of shooting one free throw is awarded.

Teams: 3 a side with a squad of up to 6.
Teams with strong basketball teams may bring larger squads or more than one team, to suit the team they are playing to encourage a positive experience.
