Tag rugby is a 8 a side game based on the principals of Rugby League, with a minimum of two girls on the pitch at once.

The attacking team has six plays in which to score a try.

A player can run with the ball until a tag is taken.

The team in possession runs with the ball and must pass backwards.

Upon de-tagging an opponent the defender must shout tag and drop the tag on to the floor, once the attacker has passed the ball they must reattach their tag.

Once de-tagged, the ball carrier must stop and pass the ball, all attacking players must be behind the ball (three seconds). A marker may stand in front on the play the ball.

In the instance of a scoot being tagged the ball is turned over to the other team.

After scoring a try the defenders must return to their try line before returning to defend.

The ball may not touch the ground in the playing area.

Please bring your own tag belts if you have them, Tag belts will be provided.
